Description of my Future Career Aspirations
My future aspirations as a senior manager are to attain managerial success, executive
position, becoming an expert, and eventually owning a business. I seek to achieve organizational
success for large projects and departments. I desire this position as it will offer better
compensation, benefits, and a better life. I also look forward to attaining an executive position in a
well-reputed organization. This will make me more ambitious and motivated in life. I also look
forward to becoming an expert in top-level management in high-level organizations. Finally, I
aspire to own a business in financial institutions. This aspiration drives me towards achieving
success, being passionate, and doing the best to achieve this success.
Educational Requirements for My Future Career as a Senior Management
Senior management requires educational background that enables an individual to pursue a
career. It needs a bachelor's degree in a relevant financial field. Since senior managers can work in
any company, they need to be robust in communication, business administration, accounting, and
finance (Barney, 2018). Most companies will prioritize candidates with an industry-focused
undergraduate program, meaning they can work in any sector. Generally, a master's degree in
business administration and finance will be highly beneficial in this field.
The History of Social Psychology and how it developed differently from other Fields of
Psychology
The discipline of social psychology started in the United States in the twentieth century.
The first was established by Norma Triplett and Kurt Lewin, who develop the field in a separate

psychoanalytic and behavioral way that were dormant during this time (Pettigrew, 2018). Since
then, social psychology has maintained dominance in cognition and perception. The scholars most
examined attitudes and different phenomena in this field.
Social psychology developed differently from the other fields of psychology in different
ways. First, it maintains careful ethical standards that control research in multicultural perspectives
that continue to emerge, especially with behavioral psychology today (Pettigrew, 2018). Social
psychology is also different as it maintains applied interests in environmental health psychology
and the legal structure. Third, it is different from other psychological fields as it focuses on
individual characteristics, traits, and thoughts.
How the History of Social Psychology and the Field in Its Current State Can Inform Your
Career of Choice
The history of social psychology can help me develop various skills that can be beneficial
in my future career as a senior manager. For instance, it can allow me to acquire people skills that
will give me an edge when interacting with other colleagues and my followers in the company
(Barney, 2018). I will most probably achieve more satisfaction and harmony while interacting with
the stakeholders. Second, I can use the knowledge of social psychology as a success strategy. It can
help me to develop the best plan for personal growth and success.
Third, social psychology can equip me with the skills that would enable me to think and
solve problems within the organization critically. I can improve my problem-solving skills by
studying social psychology to understand better how to handle life circumstances, achieve success,
and reach personal goals and objectives (Barney, 2018). Exploring social psychology can help me

consider different problems from another perspective and come up with possible solutions to the
underlying issues.
Finally, social psychology can foster my future career success as a senior manager by
helping me to develop conceptual reasoning. It will help me become a better thinker and expose
the scientific principles of psychology in management strategies. This way, I will reinforce my
sense and analytical skills.
