RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PLAN AND RACI CHART

Introduction

In executing any project, there is a need for a reliable, steady, and enhanced plan that needs to be laid out to ensure the project's objectives are attained efficiently and effectively. This paper will look into some aspects of project planning.

Project Plan

The project planning phase entails looking into some of the stakeholders involved and the contents required in the project. The project involves teamwork that will enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of planning and actualization of the project. Installing a new system will require knowledge from different personnel. The project plan requires the project executives to look into the feasibility of the project (Mering, 2017). Moreover, the project executives will look into the resources needed to accomplish the task. They are the people who will ensure that the project does not waste the organization's resources. The project executives will also offer the professional skills and competencies that are required in the project. The project will also need to have skilled technicians in the field of Information systems such as software engineers, coders, cyber security personnel, web hosting, and database systems management. These people will tell the direction of the need to have these systems (Zhang et al., 2019). They will outline some of the available methods in the market and how they can be tailored to meet the organization's needs. Moreover, they will offer their professional opinion, which will have a massive impact on the organization.

The project team will also require personnel in finance as they will take part in the formulation of budgets. The project finance team will also take part in allocating funds to several operational units of the project (Zhang et al., 2019). These finance personnel will also give their professional opinion concerning the margin of flexibility to advance their need for improved systems. The project plan will also need to have human resource personnel to analyze the number of persons required for the project. They will also need to look into some of the employees necessary for the task force to execute the project. They will also look into some aspects that involve employee turnover, employee satisfaction that will make the organization efficient and effective in its operations. The project will also need people from the department of research (Mering, 2017). These persons will ensure that the project is in line with the objectives of the company. They will place their skills in the project to ensure that the project will attain the maximum benefit required by the project.

Project Requirements

The needs of the project entail materials, labor, and supplies. The organization is advancing its information system networks that will enhance organizational efficiency. It implies that personnel will comfortably work in the comfort of their homes and improve job satisfaction. The organization will need computerized systems that are up to date. The IT personnel and the software engineers will have to include servers, computers, software updates, receivers, and tablets that the employees will use. The IT department will also need to expand its room as they will have increased systems, cables, and servers. The operating system will also have an advanced feature with improved Random-Access Memory (RAM), hard drives, and built-in graphics that will enhance the communication efficiency of employees in the organization (Zhang et al., 2019).

The project plan will also include the funds needed for the project. In my professional opinion, the projected amount for the project should be around $50,000. The approximation has been set to ensure that the project will be closely monitored, evaluated, and controlled to ensure that it has effectively linked in the organization (Zhang et al., 2019). They will also need construction materials to expand the IT department and install the systems. Some of the outdated computers will have to be updated with the current Windows settings and their drivers. These resources will be gathered with the aid of the procurement team and IT experts that will ensure that the items procured are of quality standards (Mering, 2017). Competent personnel installing these machines will be contracted and given their timeline for completing the project.

Approach Taken

The installation of such systems takes a considerable amount of time and resources. It also needs the personnel to be vital. This person will need to be motivated. The team also needs to have team development and team motivation. Some of the main ideas do not just come from sitting in the office structure. The project team will have different kinds of personnel. The project is tiresome and may lead to increased stress levels to reach the set timeline. The project manager needs to ensure that they can manage the team (Ho & Wu, 2019). This involves delegating tasks among the project members. They will also need to express their opinions to bring in some of the most efficient approaches to all stakeholders. The project team can also be rewarded if they accomplish huge tasks before time.

The project team will work in groups to enhance teamwork and enhance the development of social teams that will associate in discussion and assessment of variables with ease. These social teams will also aid the project team as they will take in exhibitions and organizational trips. Employees can also be motivated by advancing their remuneration. The meetings will also take place at convenient times, and allowances are given to them if they work past the working time (Ho & Wu, 2019). The project manager will also need to be transparent as it will create loyalty to the organization. The working environment for the project team needs to be conducive.
