Project Management
Project Management
1. Client’s requirement.
The client’s requirement in this complex task is to move the entire workstation to a new location. Workstations will need to be upgraded to include wireless capabilities; the Wi-Fi network will need to be installed and tested. Also, a legacy proprietary business system that provides a customer relationship management (CRM) application will be converted to a new business system for the client's benefit. All the current call center stations will need to be relocated to a new, more unique larger facility to serve the client better.
In addition, the number of stations must is raised from 36 to 50, with the ultimate objective being to double that number in the next three years. To have a project charter authorized, one of the most critical steps is to come up with a rough estimate of how much money the project will cost and when it will be finished. It's normal for both parties to want to know this information as soon as possible, even before they have settled on a plan to use. Concerning limited finances, the client requires the work to be done using the minimum cost and delivering quality. In response to this, my team will work on a detailed review of the project to determine the scope of the entire project.

Transferring all of the old contact center stations to a brand-new, spacious building |
This requires transporting the previously operational system to the new location. In addition, this activity will need replacing the faulty system with brand-new ones. |

It transmits data, sets up a Wi-Fi network, and conducts speed tests to improve operational effectiveness. |
We will need to assemble a call station and link it to the network to complete this task. The installation of WI-FI will be LAN, which will provide a more incredible speed in addition to improving both productivity and accessibility. |

We are combining an obsolete proprietary business system with an application for customer relationship management (CRM) to create a new business system. |
To accomplish this work, outdated and worn-out business systems must be removed. In their place, new business systems capable of satisfying contemporary expectations will need to be installed. |

We are installing wireless capabilities on workstations. |
As part of the assignment, you will be responsible for positioning the stations in optimal locations and facilitating connections to wireless networks. In addition, the effort will require modernizing the outdated computer systems so that they can connect to wireless networks. |

3. Activities.
As illustrated by the work breakdown structure (WBS), the project deliverables are the Installation of a new call center management software, Transferring all of the old contact center stations to a brand-new, spacious building, Transmitting data, setting up a Wi-Fi network, and conducting speed tests for the goal of improving operational effectiveness, Combining an obsolete proprietary business system with an application for customer relationship management (CRM) to create a new business system and finally Installing wireless capabilities on workstations. The individual jobs will be able to get resources after they have been organized into a logical order, which will take some time. It is vital to have an accurate grasp of the entire budget for the project, and one way to do this is to determine how many resources are required for each activity. At this point, it should be abundantly clear how challenging it is to produce an accurate estimate. Before a more comprehensive assessment is provided, several steps must be done first.
To accomplish this, it will be necessary to diversify functions according to the expertise. The relocation manager and five casual workers will be allocated the task of moving the stations to the new location. The estimated duration for this task will be not exceeding four days. The IT department will have the most significant share of the entire project. This is because a lot of functions are IT-related. Their IT expertise is required.
Project managers often rely on the ROM, which stands for the rough order of magnitude estimate, when they are under time or money constraints and need an estimate before any significant planning or analysis. When it comes to the estimation of the whole, the ROM analysis is often reliable, even though it is widely acknowledged to be inaccurate regarding the specifics of the situation. It is impossible to frame a house until the foundation has been laid, the concrete has been poured, and it has had enough time to cure entirely. A more significant number of investigations will likely be necessary for a project with many different hardware and software components. The network diagram is used at this level of research and analysis.
