Due: 11:59 p.m. EST, Sunday of Unit 8. Total Points: 50 Overview: In this assignment, you will propose a new social media platform or application for the future. The platform or application will address one of the issues covered in the course thus far. You will also author your own code of ethics to be applied to the new platform or application. Instructions:

 Choose one of the issues related to social media discussed in the course

(privacy, identity, news & information, activism, or ethics) and create a new social

media platform or application which addresses a solution to the issue.

For example, the “Sit with Me” app created by a 16 year-old to find

buddies to sit with at lunch in school. This app would specifically address

the issue of identity and interpersonal relationships.

 Describe how the platform or application would work and explain its intended

purpose.

 Clearly identify how the platform or application would address the issue you

selected. How does the platform or application provide a solution to some of the

problems associated with the issue?

 Create a code of ethics to be used with the platform or application. Write a

minimum of 5 principles and explain how each one would apply to the use of the

platform or application.
