IMPORTANT REMINDERS
1. YOU DO NOT NEED MS. JONES' PERMISSION FOR THIS PROPOSED VISIT, NOR DO YOU NEED ANY MONEY. WHAT YOU ARE ASKING FOR IS AN INTRODUCTION. You do not work for Ms. Jones -- you own the Columbus dealership. You are your own boss. As you would if you were asking for a reference, you want to make the introduction you hope she will make as easy for her as possible. What schedule are you hoping for? What will you offer the Dayton dealer in return for their hospitality?
2. All faux email submissions MUST include a subject line and an email signature block. See page 119 for an example. You do not have to include your own name, job title, or contact information; you can invent any or all of it. But a full signature line must be included.
3. If your email refers to any faux "attachments," you must produce them below your message.
4. Read Newman Chapter 8.
5. Complete the 3Ps in Practice. (p. 271).
6. Upload a file with your responses.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
1. Think hard about your audience. What is the ONE THING every reader of this email wants to know? Be sure you provide a clear and unambiguous answer to that question.

IMPORTANT REMINDER
Do NOT overthink this. This should be the easiest assignment of the entire semester. Wally's is a fast-food restaurant. Their existing dessert menu probably has three or four items on it. Any changes are going to be very small -- they may add one item or two items and/or remove one or two. Any menu changes also have to be appropriate to a fast-food environment. Bananas Foster is not going to be sold at Wally's, so do not give respondents any open-ended questions to answer. Respondents to your survey are existing customers; you cannot sort them, nor do you need to. If you ask any demographic questions at all, there had better be a really good rationale for them in the process section of your submission.
