As a leader, the ability to influence others in achieving the organizational goal is pivotal to effective leadership because focusing on understanding employees' motivations shows that they matter. It builds trust, sense of value and purpose, all of which translate to high employee engagement. Integrity ranks as the most important leadership competency that contributes to effective leadership because it promotes trust and creates a model behavior in the organization. Further, leadership and followership are closely interwined. Without followers, there would be no leaders because followers' influence on a leader can contribute to effective leadership or underscore the leader's drawbacks. Commitment to common goals; credibility, courage, initiative, honesty, and self-efficacy in followers connect organizational values to follower values, thus allowing them to feel connected to the organization. Additionally, the hallmark of an effective leader is one who recognizes and considers diversity in workforce by adhering to certain guidelines so as to prevent discrimination. Lastly, there is not a single leadership style that works for all circumstances. In order to have an effective leadership, a leader must be adaptive to change and understand the stages in resistance to change by looking at situations with different point of view, then determine the type of leadership approach to employ to get the desired outcome. The reason for situational leadership is that it is a more flexible technique as it stimulates socio-emotional support, promotes successful collaboration and enhances team productivity. Managers and leaders often need to adjust their behavior to suit situations because it contributes to effective leadership.

I have learned a lot about leadership. I have learned that there are many types of leadership I have gotten good grades in the Intel path but what is hurting me the most in the discussion boards as most of time I could not understand them or when I did, I would write them down and did not have anybody to type for me know I have a software called Dragon NaturallySpeaking where I can talk into a microphone and it types for me. This class has taught me a lot about leadership styles of leadership I have enjoyed being in class with you guys and enjoyed this class. In this class I have also learned to be a better manager and role model for the business that I want to do like running my own daycare that I have learned to be a better manager from this class and have better leadership skills as they are a big important role in having your own business doing the Intel path per week I might would help with that too along with doing the individual project.

For the cultural and situational characteristics, leaders need to demonstrate the ability to be flexible and change their styles based on the situation that is presented. Understanding the different leadership styles and how to be adaptable when a different situation arises, is what makes a leader effective. This is also how leaders should look at their followers. Not every person is the same, and like to be spoken to, coached or communicated in the same way. Leaders must understand the importance of changing their tone or nonverbal approach when speaking to different followers. By doing this, leaders are building trust with their followers, which ultimately encourage the follower to be more effective.

What competencies were you able to develop in researching, and writing, CEO, supervisor, management researching all about CEOS is to be able to develop all titles in a whole so you can teach the ones under you in the right way. Being able to write down your thoughts and of how to perform on the job to help increase your business and make any corrections as they come up. Always have a plan and good direction. I have my own daycare and being the supervisor/and in management, on my own has been such a challenge but well worth it. Children has to be my main focus on the job. Sometimes it is hard to meet all the needs kinda overwhelming but not impossible. The research has done me a lot of good and learning so much has developed in me a secure improved environment and increased my career for the best. The knowledge I got from doing IP has made me understand what needs to be done in my up coming future. Marketers must consider the the strategic implications of buyer behavior, market segmentation, product positioning, pricing, distribution, advertising, management, and customer relationships management. Before this course, I did not really have any marketing background. Going through all of the assignment, I have come to appreciate the amount of work and research that is required to properly market a product or business. Doing so can make the difference between a successful company or product, and a failure. I have learned that there different tools out there, like CRMs, that help marketers to better determine target markets and what products should be rolled out, when they should be rolled out, and where the products should be focused. As I continue to gain a better understanding of these tools and principles, I will be in a better position to be part of a growing business. I can better analyze what is needed for product development, along with what companies might be better to partner with based on their products, practices, and business lines.

Providing effective customer service by producing and completing tasks in a timely manner will ensure customer loyalty. Being able to understand the task at hand, being effective and efficient, will give customers the confidence to know that we are a right fit for the job and will keep them coming back. Knowing when to ask questions and the right questions to ask, lets the customer know that you care about their task and that it is important you, in an effort to not only make our company look good but theirs as well.
