Assignment Details
Earth has warmed and cooled time and again as the planet received more or less sunlight, as the atmosphere or surface changed, or as the Sun’s energy varied. But in the past century, another force has started to influence Earth’s climate: humanity. (Riebek, 2010)
Review the National Climate Assessment and The Effects of Climate Change resources.
· Describe an example of the effect of climate change where you live (for example, rising sea levels, erosion, species decline, severe weather events, and so forth).
· Discuss 1 approach to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which are believed to have a large impact on climate change.
In your responses to at least two classmates you could consider comparing your observations on local effects of climate change with your classmates’. For example, you can describe how your observations may differ depending on location or how a particular approach to greenhouse gas emissions may be more difficult to implement than another.
