LATOYA’S POST:

I was really engaged in the speech because I did not know that guinea pigs can have a good effect on children with autism I was really engaged with some of the things you can do. I feel it is helpful for kids with sensory and makes them less affected by the struggles of the child's disability. I have a child who is autistic and I bought my son a guinea pig I noticed he was really engaged with the guinea a lot of his sensory issue is getting better I now know why. after watching this video I was inspired by the speech.

Hello, Class

So, both speakers impacted me on all levels. Both speakers had credible evidence to support the thing that they was talking about. I believe they both spoke loud and clear so the audience could understand and hear what was being spoking.The eye contact was great I think looking at a person in the face is great because you see they are following what you are talking about. The body language was something that I need to work on seeing the speakers body language made me know that they know what they are talking about and they did the work.

RENE’S POST:

I chose - Untitled #38 Woman on the Sidewalk by Geoge The Poet inspired by Paul Graham.

I think the theme of this poetry is Courage and Perseverance. The poetry gave me a strong sense of identity through diversity and acceptance. George the Poet gave a beautiful poetic rendition of 'Women on the sidewalk ", I felt like I was the woman sitting on the sidewalk holding a cigarette. The theme was carried throughout the story when he described diversity and being misconceived. George spoke about community and life choices. The poetry spoke volumes to me as if it were guiding me through adjustment and the adversity of living in a new community. The words George the Poet chose, his facial expressions, and the way he pulled me throughout the poetry encouraged non-conformity and accountability. This theme is carried throughout the piece with the word community. The word community was used to describe three different conflicts: mine, time, and line. This was such an enjoyable piece of poetry.

Hello Classmates,

The Piece of literature from the previous unit that I will choose for how a theme can relate to our daily lives is 'I still rise' by Maya Angelou. The poem's theme is so powerful and relatable that whoever reads it will like and relate to it. The theme behind it is vague enough not to target one demographic of people because it's trying to spread a message. Trying to make people confident and feel comfortable speaking their minds and being positive. The theme in this poem is so positive that it can be used as an example of being resilient. Always be the ball, not the egg, because as the ball, you will always bounce back. This poem uses imagery to help put an image in your mind about its theme. I find that neat because that makes it more potent. After all, you put thought and consideration into what is said in the poem.
