1.Which compare and contrast method (i.e., point-by-point, block) do you think is being used? Be sure to explain why.
◦I think the method they used blocks. In the story, the writer used the same items to compare. I see both sides of the advantage and disadvantage this the big box store. Why would you want a big box store to come into your neighborhood and not offer the same or better than you are ready to have? If you have street vendors walking the streets bring the items you need right to your door that sounds better than having to drive to a big box store. But then on the other hand if they do not have everything you need the big store would have it.
1.How would you describe the quality and clarity of the information given to compare and contrast? Please point out any information that could have been better explained and any opinions that could have been better supported.
◦The details in the story are good, it tells who are the street vendors and what they have if it is going to be in season or not. From the story sounds like everything is delivered right to your door and you pay cash. There is not a lot of choices like you would have in a big box store.
1.What were your feelings on the organization of the essay? Did the structure make sense to you? Was anything missing?
◦I think the organization of the essay was good. The structure was good did make sense. I can see both sides of the story why someone would not want a big box store and why they would. It flowed very well and gave good details.
1.Given the information was given, who do you feel is the best audience? Be sure to explain why and give examples from the essay to support your response.
◦I feel the best audience for this essay would the people of India and the owners of the big box companies. I feel that the owners of the big box companies need to know how the people of India get the supplies now. The process that they have with items being delivered to their door. Their closes being tailored after they are purchased. I know that Wal-Mart does not do that. Call the bakery and they will bring it right to your door.

1.Which compare and contrast method (i.e., point-by-point, block) do you think is being used? Be sure to explain why. ◾ This article is seems to be written using the block method to compare and contrast as the writer talks about the U.S. for a while--then India--and comes back to the U.S. Because she does come back to the U.S. when talking about the number of choices of products, I was tempted to say point by point. She begins by comparing the amount of travel required to shop in the U.S. by discussing the U.S. for a while and then devoting a good bit of space to India. She then talks about the variety of products in the U.S. as opposed to India ... two big points really that were presented in large blocks of text.
2.How would you describe the quality and clarity of the information given to compare and contrast? Please point out any information that could have been better explained and any opinions that could have been better supported. ◾I believe it was fully clarified and the quality of the paper was good. This piece was my favorite one thus far. The only thing I wished they had discussed would be money. I wished they had compared the value of money between countries. I would like to know what U.S. money equals to India's money. Does anyone know? I would really like to know.
3.What were your feelings on the organization of the essay? Did the structure make sense to you? Was anything missing? ◾The organization could have been a little better. For example, the part about the number of Indian people who own cars could have been up there with the information about how far Americans have to travel to stores in contrast to citizens of India. I found myself reading the article over a few times to understand what was being compared and contrasted and how those points made sense with the overall point.
4.Given the information given, who do you feel is the best audience? Be sure to explain why and give examples from the essay to support your response. ◾I feel one of the best audiences would be the people who want to move from The United States to India or vise versa. Small business owners might also be interested in how stores like Walmart would do in other areas. Also, anyone interested in the economy in general, whether they're investors or not, might like this story.
