What culture changes might have to change for Scrum to have been implemented in your organization? Describe in detail the characteristics needing to change.

Implementing new cultural changes are always important and efficient in any organization to increase the efficiency of a project. Almost every company gives importance to the task submitted on time and sometimes it leads to compromise the quality of a product. Quality of a product might have to change for Scrum to have been implemented in your organization. When they give importance to quality people take pride in their work. Because of that, there would be no cultural barriers and people start trusting their organization and which ultimately helps to built trust between management and employees and their work involvement is going to be increased. Higher quality will result in fewer misunderstanding and crisis. Some companies give importance to deadlines and never realized that quality is not been focused at first which eventually cause project failure. Hence, I would say quality as a culture change might have to implement for Scrum to have been implemented in an organization.

Any organization which doesn’t emphasis much on documentation or staying to particular process or plan can implement Kanban, Few years I was deployed in a front end enhancement project which had 7 resources, the organization followed a waterfall approach and was very document and process oriented organization. The project dealt with enhancing user experience, the application that I was working on served as the control hub for Veterinary analyzers and the project dealt with improving workflows and reducing the number of clicks and improving user interaction. An agile environment would have been very suitable for this project as all of the team members were co-located and were willing to help each other out giving an impression of cross functional team. I also feel the project would have been success and may have reduce the turn around time in fixing issues or error after deployment if a prototype or deliverable was produced the stakeholders in short intervals of time. There was also lot change request which the team had neglected to undertake and remained adamant of following a particular plan, which I feel is the disadvantage of a waterfall SDLC process.
