Assignment Details

The videos  India's 'Water Wives'  and  Papua New Guinea: Clean Water Access to End the Walk for Water for Women and Girls  help us see the differences between available resources in developing countries and the United States. As an environmental science student you should wonder, “What is it like to live there?”

· Describe how your use of water is different than the use of water in a developing country.

· Describe your “world” if you had to walk to a spring or well to collect the water you needed for the day.

In your responses to at least two classmates you could explore how your community might respond to severely limited water in your peer discussions.  For example, you can discuss how you value the limited resource of water, your biggest use of water, or how to improve the availability of water for people who don’t have enough.
