The application of big data for decision making in businesses has rapidly gained demand. However, there are several challenges in the implementation of big data, such as it highly depends on ample storage and skills is required to analyze and mine the data. With this presentation of challenges, both training institutions and business organizations have much promoted the development of cloud computing as the best strategy to deal with vast amounts of data in terms of storage, analysis, and evaluation of the information. In definition, big data refers to the pool of data and information from different sources such as scanners, mobile phones, the internet, and numerical models (Li et al., 2020). On the other hand, cloud computing refers to the delivery of digital services such as storage for applications and online offices.
Any reader/peer how will going this article will have an in-depth understanding of the different aspects of cloud computing. For example, through the interrelationship one will easy understand how cloud computing work which is an effective way to understand this how one can implement this new technology. For example, according to Yang, Huang, Li, Liu & Hu (2017), “cloud computing has engaged Big Data and enlightened potential solutions for various digital earth problems in geoscience and relevant domains such as social science, astronomy, business, and industry.”
Additionally, there are a lot of services made possible through cloud computing as a solution for dealing with big data, which may include networking, better communication, and engagement of stakeholders and efficient use of artificial intelligence technology. By identifying the interrelationship between big data and cloud computing, one can determine the different aspects of life sharing ideas, and working together as a team is one of the most effective tools for better performance. This can encourage my peers to share and work together during our course, which can be a useful tool for supporting each other in our studies. Moreover, understanding cloud computing will give a picture of business-related benefits. For example, “Cloud computing has successfully gained the interested from organizations because it offers a wide range of solutions and advantages to business such as increase flexibility, scalability, agility, reduces costs and higher efficiencies” (Xue & Xin, 2016).
The development of computer clouding has also drastically increased over a short period. This topic about big data and cloud computing gives an individual curiosity to want to understand both current and future models of cloud computing because the models are one of the examples that show the relationship between big data and cloud computing. According to Odun-Ayo, Ananya, Agono & Goddy-Worlu (2018), Cloud computing has been classified as our types of deployment models: public cloud, private cloud, community cloud, and hybrid cloud.
Using this topic in consideration of the business environment, one can identify several challenges associated with cloud computing. Therefore researching about this topic will help my peer colleges to understand that despite that most organization continues to adopt and use cloud computing, there are also several risks associated with this technology. Some of these risks include and not limited to data-stealing, wrapping attacks, data privacy issues, and malware injection attacks (Kumar, 2016). There is also a possibility to overcome them through various solutions identified by professional experts. In general, this topic provides a wide area of study hence promoting the need for doing in different areas that can help a computing student to understand the relationship between cloud computing and big data.
