Malt Beverage Industry

The industry chosen for the assessment is the malt beverage industry, and it is one of the biggest industries found across the globe. According to 2020 statistics, the industry size is 36.3 billion USD, and the beverages are used throughout the world. People are fond of malt beverages, and it is a fermented drink that is available in different flavors. The primary ingredient is grain, especially the barley plant, and it is found that the industry is expected to grow by 12 billion USD by 2028. The industry is allotted with SIC code of 2082 of the Manufacturing office. The industry size is quite big, and the huge UGC content can be found.

As mentioned above, the industry is pretty big, so there is no difficulty finding UGC content. I started my activities by searching on Google engine about malt beverages, and to my surprise, a huge data appeared. The top websites that talked about malt beverages were the new websites, blogs, and books. One of the UGC sites that I found was the world science organization, which was found by simple searching. The research-based sites were also found, and different journals talked about the importance and the significance of malt beverages.

The top three beverage firms have been listed down, and all the top industries are also associated with malt beverage production. It was found that Anheuser-Busch InBev was found on the top with the revenue of $52.3bn, and it is the top form regarding malt beverages. Though coronavirus has impacted the company's revenues, it has been found that the company has compensated for the loss. Moreover, it has been producing malt beverages and others for a long, and it accounts for 7% malt beverages per year in its outlets. So, the firm should be considered.

Heineken is the next firm about which I will talk, and it is a Dutch company known for its alcoholic and malt beverages. It has been found that the company has been serving the customers for the last 150 years. Globally, it stands at the second position, and it comes first in Europe, but it has been found that the customers are highly satisfied and want to retain the moments. The company is well-known for its technology use because it uses big data and artificial intelligence.

Carlsberg is the third firm known by the customers since 1847, and it has been serving the customers and other staff for since long. Since the 1990s, it was noticed that the company has started growing with modesty, and it was found that the growth of products has become moderate. The company became highly serious about the sales and competition in 2006, and it was found that the sales increased. The company has been serving more than 200 flavors, and the customers can enjoy it anytime, anywhere. The company has achieved the biggest 4th rank in the brewing industry, and it is useful (Rakhi, 2020).

There are few sites that I have visited during the research and data collection, and the most important thing that I have observed is the market size and statistics of the industry. It has been found that different UGC websites have talked about the future of the malt beverage industry. There are several similarities and differences in UGC sites. The similarity is the use of pictures for publicity as all the websites have used different images and pictures. On the other hand, several websites are different and showed distinct features (Wine, 2020).

Some of the blogs have talked the simple information about malt beverages, but the news articles have not been published in general. They have been published as a result of specific news related to the industry. The most influential website found on the internet was “The Fascinating World of Flavored Malt Beverages” (BevSource, 2020). It has discussed the market size, benefits, and the industry's future, and it seems to be better than other UGC websites. It plays a significant role by providing special facts and general information to the public about malt beverages.
