Part II Directions:​ Complete the following editing/revising checklist using your essay. In order to earn full credit, you must complete ALL the tasks.

_____1.​ Highlight in yellow​ your core belief in yellow every time you state it. _____2. ​Highlight in green​ the personal story you included to support your core belief. _____3. Reread your core belief and personal story. Does your story support your

_____4. ​Bold ​a correctly punctuated compound sentence using a coordinating conjunction. Add one if missing.

_____5. ​Italicize​ a correctly punctuated complex sentence. Add one if missing. _____6. ​Highlight in pink​ every time you use passive voice (is, am, are, was, were, be, being been) and change at least three to active voice. See unit 1 for help.

____7. Capitalize the first word of every sentence.
