Assignment Details:

Please visit the  UNESCO World Heritage List  of world heritage sites. Click on different sites within the United States and all over the world.  Pick 2 sites (at least 1 should be from outside the United States) that you find particularly interesting, and focus your discussion of the following:

· Identify the sites you have chosen and why you find them to be significant.

· Why is it important to protect these sites? 

· In your post, consider how tourists visiting these sites, for example, can generate revenue and employment for the local economy. 

· Thinking as a cultural anthropologist, how would you argue for the preservation of these sites?
