Unit 4 Assignment

Details and Rubric

Applied Research Project — Findings and Conclusions, and Ethical Implications View an introduction and summary of this Assignment. A meta-analysis is a systematic procedure for synthesizing and summarizing the results from previous studies.

Learning to conduct this procedure is your next step. Unit 4 offers you the opportunity to examine and evaluate

the vast data from peer-reviewed authors you found in the review of literature component. Moreover, you have

the chance to identify significant emerging themes and patterns. Further analysis of these patterns leads to

unique findings that you, as the researcher, can discover. Examination of these findings allows you to set forth

general conclusions. Another critical element in research is addressing ethical implications. This may include,

but is not limited to, an assessment of the credibility of cited sources, validity of methodological approach, the

pitfall of plagiarizing, and advancing socially responsible solutions to the problem that do no harm. In your role

as an ethically responsible manager, it is critical to recognize the ethical implications of both the research you

analyze and the way you address your own organizational problems.

The construction and development of your applied research project in GM599 is ongoing. It began in Unit 1

and will continue to expand and improve through Unit 6. Moving forward in each unit, you will be adding new

sub-heading sections to expand the research process. At the same time, you will be responding to comments

and critiques from your professor in order to make improvements to past sections.

Step 1: Prepare by studying the Reading assigned to this unit. Practice specific research concepts by

engaging in unit discussions.

Step 2: Design your applied research project in the following manner. Remember that in this version of the paper, you will be adding two new and separate research components: Findings and conclusions, and ethical implications. Title Page: Develop a unique title for the paper that captures the essence of the problem that is under investigation. Sub-Heading Sections
