Unit 2 Assignment

Details and Rubric

Applied Research Project — Meta-Analysis Methodology View an introduction and summary of this Assignment. You have finished the first part of your applied research project. The next step in your Project is to demonstrate

the qualitative research methodology that is appropriate to investigate the problem. Imagine yourself as a

researcher who will apply a qualitative meta-analysis methodology. This methodology will allow you, as the

researcher, to gather and analyze relevant and credible data from the existing body of peer-reviewed literature.

The knowledge gained from existing studies will support your own investigation of the problem. Existing

knowledge is vast, and it is likely that your investigative approach may be different from other researchers.

Different approaches are okay, but thinking critically with depth and breadth of thought is paramount to

showing the reader that you are advancing greater understanding. Remember, this component of your applied

research project is the demonstration of your ability to understand and apply a methodological research

approach. This is a management best practice that allows you to address organizational problems and

implement solutions for effective change. This section of your Project involves the systematic process that will

guide you to exploration and discovery through the greater body of management literature. Please follow the

guidelines located in the grading rubric. It is important to remember that this is a growing document, and that

other research components will be added in each unit going forward.

The construction and development of your applied research project in GM599 is ongoing. It began in Unit 1

and will continue to expand and improve through Unit 6. Moving forward in each unit, you will be adding new

sub-heading sections to expand the research process. At the same time, you will be responding to comments

and critiques from your professor in order to make improvements to past sections.
