Directions: Teaching children literacy competency is a practice that involves phonemic awareness, phonics, and fluency, vocabulary, reading compression and writing that improve general literacy competency among children in school and at home. In Kindergarten, effective articulation on elements of literacy competency provides an effective platform for learners to improve their language development. Using simple and correct level measures and methods of teaching children while in school and at home are necessary.
