Do people ever think that when things not planned happen in their life as an accident or they are living in their purpose? There are several takes on California based on the experiences people face, the opportunities they obtain, the people each of them meets and the good or bad memories they share. In this case, this does not mean that things happen as an accident rather it can be everyone’s purpose in life. In life everyone must pass through certain situations that turn out to be experiences for them to understand and define their solemn purpose. As a result, people should see this as reflection of change in their lives. The fifteen takes of California is a good example of change and opportunities in people’s lives. I moved to Atlanta, Ga about ten years ago, and I was not sure if I was making the right decisions. Nonetheless, after looking back I count it as one of the best decisions I made since I have grown in terms of confidence and strength. Admittedly, accidents are not the end of one’s purpose but the beginning of new opportunities. Thesis statement. Accidents can be compared to something special and magical in one’s life. When one is feeling like they are becoming accident prone and have bigger imaginations and dreams they will find themselves living in their dream and adapting to new changes quickly. An article written by David L. Unin, the fifteen takes on California highlights all the things California was known for. It describes the earlier known California and the changes that have occurred. great state of California with an aim of becoming a poet, he was eighteen years then. In his article, he writes that he was looking for reclamation, if not nostalgic then intent on projection myself into a different world that would bring change into his poetry life. He however was seeing it as an accident that would no yield any results at long last. But this was not the case as California has helped him gain much in terms of confidence and strengths. Besides he was able to note that it is about purpose in life but no an accident. Everything that happens in life happens with a reason. He going to California was a good idea as he was able to learn.

David describes the city as captivating and profound in that one would imagine how he felt through both the bad times and the good ones. In his article, he uses various quotes and important facts from different writers to make more interesting and insightful to read. One of the most interesting quotes that he quotes is from Jerry Garcia the guitarist of the ``Grateful Dead`` who died at fifty-three after years of self-abuse. Since he didn’t have the clear message, he paraphrased it. He states that in 1970s an interviewer asked for his thoughts about the people’s music, the notion that the ethos of the 1960s had rendered ownership of art and cultural moot. As a response to that, Jerry responded sharply; the people’s music? He asked where the people were when she was learning music. Therefore, it is not their music, it is mine. David supported Jerry’s sentiments although he explained why at that time people were not aware of the art. David states that at fifteen years, around 1976s, it was difficult to discover his sentiments in a record store in Boston since one felt unsettled as if a pillar of his being was been disturbed (Ulin, 2015). He continues to explain that a point in time he longed in California and not just California but height to be part of a moment he recognized and had passed him by. In another interview, Jerry points out clearly when asked if he fells dismayed by the extent in which things have changed socially. In response to that he states that he did not expect things to change in this manner. He said that he did not expect things to change magically better but thought that they were experiencing a lucky vacation from the rest of the consensual reality to try stuff out. All he thought was that things happened accidently forgetting that purpose was the key driver. He continues to state that they were privileged since he did not expect things to change quickly and smoothly. In his interview with Grateful Ramblings, he quotes `` our part did what it was supposed to do, and continuing’s to do it, continuing to evolve. Therefore, it is a process, so if one opens one door to the process, it tells you how to do it and life continues. As such, one must be driven by purpose and not thing that for things to happen it is an accident. Therefore, it is a life policy that one must employ to become successful and enjoy the good changes. David sees California as an existential nature in terms of source of its identity from it being a state of being and a state of mind. He proceeds with a quote from Bertolt Brecht who wrote in his journals in 1941 just a few months after he arrived in Santa Monica in exile from the Second World War, ``enjoy it while you can``. Another author states something like that where he said that the world is going to end anytime soon so enjoy it while you are alive. For David his main aim was to become a poet who he should have been because it was his purpose and not accident. I agree that it is better to enjoy and do whatever you want to do now rather than wait as time waits for no man and the world is evolving. He continues to state that when he comes to California, he never thought things would change as such but now California is a changed city. Comment by VS: Review tense.

In conclusion, based on the fifteen takes of California, it is evident that change is inevitable, and it can happen any time so long as one has what is driving him/her. And that is purpose. As for David, he thought that moving to California to become a poet as an accident and not his purpose. Later, he discovered that when purpose drives one things change. It is through quotes from known people that he was able to learn that life is a process and it depends on how you plan it. Plan good and good comes your way.
