Time to put it all together.

Conduct research online or in the DeVry Library and write a strategic Marketing Plan following the steps below and summarize the plan in a presentation.

1. Read Appendix 1 in your textbook to gain a thorough understanding of a strategic marketing plan and its component sections.

2. Identify a company that has a portfolio of products and/or services that you regularly purchase or utilize, or in which you are otherwise interested.

3. Recommend a new product or service to add to the company's portfolio

4. Conduct a Porter's Five Forces analysis

5. Conduct a SWOT analysis

6. Conduct a market analysis

7. Establish strategic objectives

8. Identify issues in the marketing environments

9. Recommend marketing activities and programs

10. Establish a budget and determine BEP

11. Recommend controls to monitor and measure success

12. Capture the value of this assignment in a self-reflection.

Presentation Requirements

Create a presentation that summarizes your paper using the outline below. 

Effective presentations are professional and to the point. Use a simple design template and stay consistent with effects, fonts, and colors. Include only relevant and essential information. Each slide should be a summary of the topic with a maximum of six lines. Bullet points are acceptable. Animations should not be used and graphics should be limited to two per slide. Double-check your spelling, grammar and punctuation. And be sure to include an on-slide reference for any images, charts, graphs, statistics, quotes, etc.

Submit your presentation as a Microsoft PowerPoint deck.

Presentation Outline

The presentation must be submitted as a Microsoft PowerPoint deck that is 12 slides in length, including one slide for each of the following:

1. Title slide with presenter's name

2. Portfolio Review

3. Product Recommendation

4. Porter's Five Forces

5. SWOT Analysis

6. Market Analysis

7. Strategic Objectives

8. Environmental Issues

9. Action Programs

Your presentation does not need to include the self-reflection section of your paper.

Course Project, Final Paper

Your paper should include the following components:

· Executive Summary

· Controls

· Self-Reflection

Controls: Recommend controls that will monitor and measure the success of your recommended action programs.

Self-Reflection: On a separate page, write a paragraph or two about what you gained by completing the Course Project and how you can apply it to your professional career, whether or not you plan a career in marketing.
