Rekhaben:- Welcome ,No problem dear.
Me:- I know that’s Lots of problems are going on due to corona virus. So, I will not take your much more time.
Rekhaben:- Yes, Here lot’s of work we are facing due to corona virus.
Me :- True. So can we start your interview for my project?
Rekhaben:- Yes, of course dear .
Me :- My first question is for you is What age group do you currently belong?
Rekhaben:- I’m thirty years old .
Me :- Second one is For how long have you worked in the rural healthcare facilities in this region?
Rekhaben:- From last three years I am working As a Laboratory technician in this rural Primary health care centre.
Me :- Oh, That’s good. In which area you are working?
Rekhaben:- Now I am working in Banaskantha district in Gujarat INDIA.
Me :- What is the name of your working place?
Rekhaben:- My working centre is Lalavada village Banaskantha district.
Me :- Thanks, so third one is Why did you choose to work in a rural area as opposed to the urban regions?
Rekhaben:-The main reason to choose rural area, because in rural area health care services have not enough staff at the centre. so, I choose to work in that centre to helping Rural patient who need more than urban area. Another reason is that it’s give me a satisfaction to helping people because I’m also belonging from rural area. That’s why I understand the situation of these areas.
Rekhaben:- yes, that is the main reason .
Me :- Oh, that’s a very good decision. Moving to the next Question, Which health services and programs are currently available to the people of this region?
Rekhaben:- There are many programme and health care services like Ayushman Bharat ,Malariya program, TB program, Polio vaccine program etc are currently available by government in this region.
Me :- What are your thoughts about access to quality care by the residents of Banaskantha? Are they having qualitative health care or facing problem to lower health care system?
Rekhaben:- According to me, health care centre provides quality , in some time there are no facilities available like less of equipment, sanitization, technical defects . I am not sure that we provide hundred percent quality because of some reason, but we trying our best to provide good health service.
Me :- Moving to another question, Do you travel to offer medical attention to the people who cannot access the facility? Can you explain little bit about your work-load?
Rekhaben:- No, I can’t travel for that because I am a laboratory technician so I have to stay in laboratory and work with laboratory equipment for testing but, our medical officer are used to travel for giving medical attention to the people who live in a ruler area.
Me :- okay, good. So, my next question is, what is your opinion regarding the cost of healthcare in the Banaskantha region?
Rekhaben:- Well, in my opinion the cost is zero as compare to the private health care because the government providing us all the facilities and patient’s all primary care like Dr visit, primary drugs, testing cost is free of cost in our center.
Me :- Do the people in this region prefer government over private health care? Can you explain why they prefer private healthcare?
Rekhaben:- Mostly , the people are used to choose government health care because in rural area the primary health facilities are provide by government so it is free of cost. However people also do not have enough money to going in the private health care centre.
Me :-In the rural area to what extend does the limited resources available affect to your ability to provide proper care ,which is in line with the patient expectation.
Rekhaben:- Some time we have not standard equipment to do some testing or in lab only manual equipments are available so, in some emergency cases we can’t provide facilities to the patient because it takes longer time for testing sample.
Me :- So you mean that private health care have automatically and high technologically equipments are available so they gave the testing result in time.
Rekhaben:- yes, It is the main reason for that .
Me :- Next one is , is how does this affect your ability to provide timely services to the patients?
Rekhaben:- It’s take long time like one day , two day some time more than that, because of that treatment is not started in time. So we cannot provide more facilities in emergency.
Me :- That is not good for the patient.
Rekhaben:- yes , right
Me :- Which health care facilities should be necessary in this time, but it is not available?
Rekhaben:- I think automatic testing machine , advance technology are currently not available so they should be necessary things in health care centers.
Me :- I think I take your much time, thank you so much Rekhaben . Is there anything you want to talk about healthcare system?
Rekhaben:- No dear , It’s okay. It’s my pleasure. yes, I want to talk about something , I think government health care is providing very good facilities but they need to improve more advance technology and equipments in future to give “GOOD HEALTH CARE FOR ALL”.
