Training for the job that someone that is hired for is key. Not all companies do the same job the same way. There may be more that the job entails or even less that it entails depending on the company. The training aspect has 5 stages, needs analysis, instructional design, validation, implantation, and evaluation. Each of these steps tie into each other and all are needed to be sure that the employee(s) are getting their jobs done correctly. Within these there are three training methods, meaningful learner, skill transfer and motivation. Training always needs to be meaningful. Without meaningful training employees will not retain what is needed for the job, These training's are could be a disaster if they are not meaningful for the employees.

I just sat through a work training and all they talked about was things for the next school year and not this school year. Looking around I saw many people having side conversations and not paying attention. To all the employees who are looking forward to this school year, they did not want to hear about next year. That didn't even pertain to what was needed for this year. Again, not meaningful and the instructor loses the employee focus. Make sure the training is meaningful.
