· Contact information of organization (all contact information you can find - address, URLs, phone numbers, etc.)

· Type of training/certification being pursued

· Proof of training/certification authorization

IV. Supporting Literature

(3-4 pages in length)

The supporting literature section in a PD-based capstone project helps to place your PD experience in academic context. You will surveys books, scholarly articles, and any other sources relevant to the training/certification you are pursuing. For example: if you’re pursuing a PMP certification, what literature exists on project management that makes is a valuable skill in business management? What makes the PMP itself the gold standard in project management certification? What other certification exist and how do they compare to the PMP?

V. PD Experience Detail

In this section, you will fully describe and detail each aspect of your PD experience as though you were explaining it to someone who was hearing about it for the first time.

Rationale

Why did you pursue this PD experience?

Tasks and Outcomes

What did you do? What were your results?

VI. Learning Outcomes

This may be the most important section in the entire capstone project. Here, you will detail what you learned as a result of your professional development experience.

· What did you learn about the training/certification you pursued?

· Did anything surprise you? What learning came from your surprises?

Finally, you are required to match each of your learning outcomes with your selected Essential Competencies (EC), and an explanation of how you gained the competency. Here’s an example:

EC1: Technological Competence

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Integer scelerisque purus sed justo sagittis, in maximus quam iaculis. Praesent tempor justo a purus ultrices volutpat. Vestibulum in est nec purus lacinia elementum. Integer nisi risus, ornare in leo vitae, feugiat mollis lacus.

VII. Conclusion

In your conclusion section:

1. Summarize your thoughts and conveying the larger significance of your PD pursuit. The conclusion is an opportunity to succinctly answer [or in some cases, to re-emphasize] the "So What?" question by placing the PD within the context of how your pursuit fits within the field of business management.

2. Demonstrate the importance of your learning. Don't be shy. The conclusion offers you the opportunity to elaborate on the impact and significance of your learning.
