The media platform that I am going to focus on in this analysis is television in general. In more specific terms, I am going to focus on one of my favorite TV series that is One Tree Hill. This is a TV series that presents the stories of a group of teenagers and the various struggles that they go through in order to achieve their dreams. The series basically reflects the average life that teenagers live and the various struggles and barriers they experience in the pursuit of their dreams and the way they overcome them. I chose this series for two main reasons. The first reason is the fact that I believe that this series is highly relatable. By watching this series, one can easily identify with various struggles that an individual goes through in the real world. This makes the series highly appealing and also provides lessons for individuals for example on how to go through various phases of life. The second reason I chose the series is because it has a lot of inspirational value. This is one of the TV shows that I run to when I am feeling down, frustrated and disappointed and it has never failed to uplift me. It offers real inspirational value which each one of us needs from time to time. It mostly offers inspiration through numerous quotes on the series for example “There’s no shame in being afraid. Hell, we’re all afraid. What you gotta do is figure out what you’re afraid of because when you put a face on it, you can beat it. Better yet, you can use it.”(Markas, 2005).
