Artificial Intelligence

The followings are the three issues that throughout my paper I will likely exchange views about.

Should Artificial Intelligence Be Pursued?

In recent times, AI or Artificial Intelligence has significantly evolved. AI has advanced immensely since it first emerged and much of its potential is still not utilized. Researchers around the world are exploring the concept and implementing it in different scenarios for testing its limits. From making simple decisions to managing different business operations, AI has been implemented in different sectors. It is, however, important to note that many concerns have been raised about its application in the business world. After all, with AI-based systems, there would be no need for basic employees.

Is artificial intelligence a threat to the economic

Artificial intelligence has been determined to have a positive influence on economies due to reduced workforce costs, improved productivity, and negligible turnover rates. Its impact on economies is more than just a little important. In terms of efficiency, it enables businesses to improve it drastically due to reduced errors and lack of training. This aspect is important to consider because efficiency is critical for every business. Concerns are raised in terms of ethics because AI-based systems are unable to assess situations in terms of ethics. This is again an important aspect because it influences the position and image of a business.

The downsides of artificial intelligence

Proponents of AI have determined that they can benefit the economy, businesses, and even employees to some extent by relieving them of complex operations. However, critics exclaim that AI has the potential of decreasing employment significantly. With systems that can take decisions on their own without any supervision, there would be no need of recruiting employees, thus contributing to unemployment. It is, however, important to note that although AI can contribute to unemployment, it can open up new positions as well. It can enable people to make the use of AI for improving productivity (Russell & Norvig, 2016).
