I think the only way to strengthen the reasoning behind why you should discipline your kids in the way that it works is to start an experiment type of thing were you gather parent with different methods of discipline and periodically check up on them throughout there lives to see which method of there life.

The issues with discipline are that times have changed with kids and how to raise kids has changed and will continue to change. So as a parent you will have to be very flexible with kids and be willing to talk to them through there problems even things that you may not understand that kids go through
