Thesis:

Withstanding all challenges revolving around teaching children from different backgrounds, the teachers’ educators have an important role to play. Nonetheless, diversity in children literature is more beneficial because it enables children to gain an understanding and appreciation of other cultures.

Topic Sentence 1:

Profoundly cultural diversity plays a significant role in that it bear prejudice and stereotype against some culture. Due to the diversity of learners in the classroom, teachers must devise teaching practices that influence their lives. It’s therefore adamant to assess the children literature before introducing them to new concepts to avoid prejudice (Davis et al., 2005).

Topic Sentence 2

To address the issue of diversity, educators and literature writers have for many years used a different approach to introduce children into a different culture and ethnic society. Application of cognitive poetics has for decades been used to introduce learners in responding to social reality (Stephens, 2011).

Topic Sentence 3:

Finally, most of the literacy work has been criticized for failure to introduce learners to a diverse society. The current advancement of society has shifted literacy purpose and no longer connect the children to their traditions. It, therefore, becomes difficult for everyone to find literature that introduces children to a diverse society.
