Class,
When it comes to Social work I'm pretty open to any area of it. However, to be more specific I'm interested more in helping children, because Children don't ask to be put in their circumstances. Four behaviors I found to be useful when developing a professional identity is, "Assess your skills, Package your skills, Be the best you can, and Develop communication skills" Lo, Mika. (2017). Some development barriers I believe I will have is learning how to effectively communicate when things get tough or wondering if I'm being effective in my communication, as well as perfecting my skills as well as being able to change them up depending on the client. The Christian worldview can have good and influence on my professional identity, I will make sure that it never hinders my clients because of my believes but also sheds a positive light by giving support and helping others the way God intended us to be.
