Firewall network security is a software package that is installed in order to ensure the entry that systems are free from anomalies. Firewall security is a process of analyzing the incoming and outgoing data in the form of discrete packets where it checks and validates whether the data comprises any harm or it is safe to allow data to be free to share. A firewall security software is capable of analyzing the data packets, right from a small packet to a large data packet. It depends on the versions of firewalls and capabilities to eliminate threats and risks.

The firewall works at the center of computing systems where it does not always seem to exist but functions automatically whenever the data is transferred to and fro from the systems. It needs to be just installed in a computer system where it is able to manage both edited and wireless networks. In order to achieve all the required data to be allowed, the firewall processes the information in accordance with the user-driven functions and approaches ("IDS — the new firewall?", 2003).

Above all, firewall-protected systems are capable of controlling the traffic flow over the junctions in the networks in which it even makes unusual data even without entering the premises of computer systems.

There are various kinds of firewall systems with various versions. Most of the commonly used firewall systems are stateless, stateful, and transparent firewalls are some of the probable versions which are used for various situations or to handle sensitive information. The main advantage is that a firewall is designed to emulate the architecture of it where it will be cool stuff if different structures of networks or hierarchy of systems were adopted by organizations. Firewall systems protect privacy and eliminate harmful data from entering into systems. Thus proper communication will be facilitated between users and systems by filtering out effective or useful data (Liu et al., 2013).
