The first one asks you to choose a topic from a foreign culture. You may not choose something from American culture. The second requirement asks you to choose a specific area in that foreign culture, such as eating habits, greeting customs, food, fashion industry, special event, certain festival, etc.

Examples of some popular topics: Mexican Cuisine, Japanese Cartoon Industry, Chinese New Year, Nigerian Wedding Ceremony, St. Patrick’s Day, The Eiffel Tower, Soccer in Brail, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Please be creative.

Please give rationale, reasons why each is a valuable topic. Approved topic will be circled. If both topics are approved, you can choose either one to be your outline and speech topic. Also provide 3 main points you will cover under this speech topic:

Second choice of topic: German unity day

Rationale: It is the day Germany became a whole again when the Berlin wall came down.

Three main points:

1. When the holiday was created and the reasoning behind it.

2. What caused the unity and how it became so important to the German people.

3.The reason behind how they picked the day and the significance of the date of their unity.
