The author discusses the causes and impact of civil unrest and protests especially in Argentina which considered to have a vibrant democracy for the last three decades. This country has been characterized by endless violent repressions. There has been concerted efforts by the government and other stakeholders to foster harmony between the police and the masses. The causes of such protests are mainly; levels of economic distress, income-inequality, inadequate governance, and police violence (Aaronson, 2016).
