Topic Proposal Sheet for the Research Paper
2. What is your interest in this topic? The few pieces I recently read from him were interesting. It makes me wonder did he suffer from mental health. None of his work has happy endings. We know that a lot of his work were based on his wives; particularly Emma after she died.
3. What major points do you intend to cover? Thomas Hardy’s novels all target tragic characters struggling, tormented. The characters seem to all be fighting against their passions and social circumstances. Did he suffer from mental illness hence why his work is negative rather than positive?
4. List at least three articles that you intend to use for your research.
