To enhance my thinking about my topic, I found the Critical Thinking Organizer very efficient

and helpful. The Critical Thinking Organization (Foundation for Critical Thinking, 2013, para.

12) defines critical thinking as: that mode of thinking — about any subject, content, or problem

— in which the thinker improves the quality of his or her thinking by skillfully analyzing,

assessing, and reconstructing it.

After gathering information on my topic about standards and curriculum for K-12

instruction, I had to put the topic in the form of a question. Once I identified the question, I

needed to select key words and phrases in those questions (Critical Thinking: Where to Begin,

2013).

How has the educational standards in the state of Georgia changed in the last 10 years?

What are the achievement gains with the Common Core Curriculum in the state of Georgia?

With the inception of the APA 7th edition, it is imperative that I used Walden’s Writing
