Fall 2019

Final Project (Due: December 11, 2019.)

1/1

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The students will investigate historical background, theoretical framework, and perform a

detailed review of the relevant literature related to their selected topic in the field of acoustic

technologies. A study of the problem statement, clearly defined based on the results of the

literature survey, would ultimately lead to the data analysis, discussion, and recommendations

for future research. A minimum of ten (10) refereed journal and conference publications

relevant for the selected topic should be used in the project report.

The final project report should include the results of the research, including an

introduction, a complete literature survey, including data analysis and discussion,

recommendations for future research, conclusions, and a list of references.

SUGGESTED TOPICS

The students may select a topic from the following list of suggested topics. The students

wishing to pursue other topics may discuss them with the course instructor prior to developing

the project proposal.

o Acoustic Technologies in Manufacturing Quality Control o Acoustic Material Technologies and Passive Noise Control Technologies o Forensic Audio Technologies o Assistive Hearing Technologies o Biomedical Acoustics Technologies o Active Noise Control Technologies
