Identification of the Organization

ThisGirlCan is an initiative that has been started with the main idea being to increase the physical activity of women and enhance their health. The main factor that contributed to the adoption of this group was the fact that many women have been found to be more prone to obesity and other diseases such as hypertension. This is especially because they are not involved in the routine exercises as the men do. The main idea in this initiative is to send out a positive message to the people and show them that even women are capable of taking care of their families while at the same time remaining fit (Domene et al., 2016). It is an initiative that was established in 2015 to celebrate the active women who are exercising no matter the way they are doing it without considering their looks or engagements in their daily routines. As of 2015, the initiative has reached millions of women while convincing at least three million of them to get active. However, the main goal of this initiative is to get all women working out and hence the goal is not yet met. The main reason which inspired the start of this organization is the fact that women are of different shapes, abilities and backgrounds. Some are sportswomen while others cannot even perform a simple routine. This is not the main idea in ThisGirlCan. The only focus and objective all the members should have is on getting active at whatever space one is at the right pace (McGowan, Lohin& Jones, 2017). The belief that women should spend time taking care of their families and other responsibilities has reduced their numbers in the workout places. Through ThisGirlCan initiative, the women can be able to learn from real stories of others who are successfully making it to be parents as well as breadwinners. This happens in a platform where there is no judgment and hence improves and increases participation. For the benefit of women all over the world, membership to this organization any person who shares in the ideas of helping a woman become more active can join. For as long as one is involved in the routine workout and encourages the rest then they qualify to become members of this initiative. The initiative also helps women who have not worked out for many days to slowly jump back and become active again (Marcus& Forsyth, 2018). Through this initiative, women can be able to shed off the extra kilos and calories as well as maintain a healthy lifestyle.

SWOT Analysis

SWOT analysis refers to strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that face an organization. The strengths and weaknesses are internal whereas the opportunities and threats are external. An organization should always try to minimize the threats and deal with weaknesses. They should also utilize their strengths and opportunities to enhance performance (Phadermrod, Crowder & Wills, 2019). One of the strengths of ThisGirlCan is that it enhances the fitness of women. This, therefore, means that it receives a wide acceptance among all the women who understand the need for remaining healthy in this present time. Secondly, it can reach as many women as possible through social media. This is one of the strengths that make the initiative to perform better. This is because all the women can participate for as long as they can access the internet. However, there are weaknesses to this initiative. First of all, there is no meeting place for these women and therefore participation is based on mere willingness. Secondly, it introduces people to routine exercise but there is no way of telling how efficient one is working. The third weakness is that there is no professional training provided and hence the women can hurt themselves as they try to work out as well as those facilitating the program. There are many opportunities for this program. First of all, it is possible to include a number of programs that involve wellness and fitness for women to make the initiative more attractive (Du et al., 2016). Secondly, it is possible to enhance the activities through the emerging social media platforms and hence reach more women at their convenience. The threats that exist include the possibility of reluctance because of the lack of monitoring. This makes some women drop out of the initiative. Secondly, there are other programs that promise to offer easier and cheaper solutions to women. These programs have taken a number out of the initiative.

Strategy Analysis

To become more effective and be able to attract more women into this initiative, we have to come up with new measures. First of all, this initiative should include both working out and nutritional guidelines. This will ensure that people do not work out and end up taking foods which again contributes to weight gain (Du et al., 2016). Secondly, the registration of members should be done online. This will be a better way of tracing the progress of every member without difficulties. The third strategy that should be adopted is establishing national groups for ThisGirlCan in every country. Through this, it will be possible to monitor the members in every country and be able to engage in other activities that enhance fitness. This also makes it possible to be pre-testing the members before they join the program and know how they are progressing.

The goal of ThisGirlCan is to make the women active and enhance their fitness to avoid lifestyle diseases. It is also the objective of this initiative to ensure that no woman feels uncomfortable because of weight gain. The initiative also aims at ensuring that the women have access to a cheap and affordable fitness program that does not strain their pockets. By making changes to the management of the program, it will be possible to enhance the performance of the women in different countries and therefore enhance their health. With the help of the marketing team in this organization, it is also possible to increase the marketing of the initiative and enhance coverage in both social media and other channels. Therefore, it is the objective of the organization to reach as many women as possible by the end of the next two years.
