THE TRIPLE BLOODY GANG
On the outskirts of one of the prominent international Zintem city, Mr. and Mrs. Pius, a well-known business family in both the formal and informal settlements of town live. They have been privileged to have a son Josh brought up in the suburbs in the best moral standing that any child would claim from parents. He was respected among his peers in schools and out of class. Many teachers and his parents admired the class performance before his intelligence was above average. In the elementary examinations, Josh managed to school extraordinarily well, securing a slot in one of the country's best universities to pursue statistics. The move to join his university education was thought to be the most appealing thing that happened to the family and the community because one would get the best exposure among his friends. The well behaved Josh was admitted, and his university life began; the innocent young man got down running.
A quick turn of events happened since Josh made friends who were classmates and seemingly from better and more enlightened backgrounds. They introduced the innocent Josh to a new lifestyle that he had never been exposed to. Adolescent moods pushed him and made Josh find himself in the middle of a life he never imagined of being part of in his entire life. In the first two semesters, Josh's performance and relationship with his parents, friends, and former life were well, and many celebrated him for his efforts. An abrupt came as a shock to all who wished the best for the las, whose future was bright, and many peers in his generation would use him as an icon as an academic giant and reference point. He was a friendly young man, cheerful and elegant. Smartly dressed and sharp in all his presentation, an orator who had a good command for language and articulation of his ideas. When he joined the university, he was excited that his expectations in life had finally received the platform to be catapulted to greater heights. The university management, lecturers, and students were keynotes to the growth and establishment of Josh's life.
Jim and Bob eventually appeared with a clear language that swayed Josh into a life that he never imagined to be part of it. The three started absconding classes, taking drugs, and engaging in all sorts of criminal behaviors. The trend happened secretly because very few people around this triple could sense anything was amiss with them. At first, money to buy drugs and go clubbing with the rest was available since the two were from an able background and could access their parents' financial support. The behavior continued to the extent that the three missed their examinations at the end of the semester and were summoned by the dean of students and failed to turn up for the meeting. The life of Jim, Josh, and Bob became too awkward because they started robbing fellow students and city dwellers of money to finance their flashy lifestyle. They acquired weapons that they used to mug, attack, and rob the people of their different belongings. They dropped out of school to devote their time to robbery and living a life that they thought was the best for themselves. The news went wild and wide about the triple bloody gang across the city and the neighboring towns that they were a dangerous team that was harassing people. The parents of the young men could not believe that their sons have sunk to the extent of being in the record of security forces as the bloodiest and notorious gang.
Surprisingly, when the parents come to the university to inquire about their children's whereabouts, it was reported that they had not been studying for the two semesters. It was a shock, indeed! Josh, a smart, disciplined, intelligent young man, had turned into a notorious robber. The case became intense when the three planned bank robbery expedition in their local towns, which now intensified the security personnel's effort to publish in the news about the triple most wanted bloody gang. The raid took place, and succeeded in escaping the police plan to apprehend them. This gang continued to gain more strength in terms of finances and weapons until they became a threat to the government.
For a long time, Josh had not gone home to his parents and has cut off communication with them because he did not want to associate with anyone who knew him since it could compromise their missions. He started living high-end life in big isolated houses and hotels, places no one could be suspicious of his movements. He changed names countless times, adopted fake identity that could conceal his real names and behavior, which kept him off the radar for years, terrorizing people, businesses, and big corporations across the country. The triple advanced and started strategizing for international terrorist missions that targeted areas with wealth and natural resources to seize and get total control. The cases of Josh, Jim, and Bob became too complicated for local security forces to handle. Therefore a combined taskforce on international security detail against terrorism and cross-border crime was formed to trail them.
The triple targeted high-end money and used all mechanisms and systems available to obtain it, which threatened international security and humanity's safety. The gang engaged in recruiting young men and women from informal settlement areas globally and using them to expand their international terrorism activities that were slowly creeping into different world cities. The kind of life that the three lived separated them from their families, friends, and better life and now had chosen to the rogue way. Josh became a threat to his parents and family, who feared meeting him due to security challenges. The life of the triple had changed and had become different in character and aspirations.
Their goals and priority took a turn for the worse when they decided to established themselves and become the most feared gang in the country. They had their priorities straights, their strategies had never been seen before. The gang was well organized with human resource services responsible for the recruitment of young people. They recruited people from all field from engineers, to IT technologists, to system developers, programmers to ex-military personnel. The gang became well endowed with resources which made it untouchable. Under the leadership of Josh, who had become an activist preaching against unemployment and social injustices in the country, the gang remained on its course. They considered themselves as a group of young vigilantes. Recruitment was done on merit with priority given to the young jobless professionals in the society. As such, Josh considered himself as a savior to a majority of young people whose needs had not been met by the government.
The composition of the gang was well endorsed with professional. The resources that it had acquired was used in the recruitment of more forces and investment in resources. Technological advancement had come at the right time to save the activities of the Triple Bloody Gang. The IT professionals were used in setting up technological centers for the gang that were used for all sorts of cybercrimes and in facilitation of other criminal activities. It was the information center that hacked into CCTV cameras to switch them off and alter timings to enable their operations in financial institutions. They hacked into the financial institutions systems and obtained money using illegal means. In some instances they obtained sensitive clients’ information that they traded to competitors with the deepest pockets. Indeed the gang was at the top of the crime realm. It was untouchable and unstoppable.
In terms of firearms another ammunition, it was well endorsed. The technological team created fake identification and passports that they used for registering illogical firearms and converting them to be legal. They had some of the best firearms such as AK 47 guns, assault rifles, automatic rifles, and machine guns that scared even the law enforcement agencies. The ex-military recruits were responsible for training war skills and fighting techniques. All the members had advanced fighting skills and tactics. The society had already surrendered and most parents were complaining of lack of peace in the neighborhoods.
As change is inevitable in most organization, the same applied to the Triple Bloody Gang. They became fed up with purchasing drugs and low profile crimes. They wanted it big and they wanted it soon. They started importing cocaine and bought marijuana in large quantities for sale in the country. They had decided to make the impossible happen. It was a race for dominance and prominence, with the sole objective being legacy creation. They understood the risks and the stalemate of their situation. Their cost benefit analysis indicated that the benefits outweighed the cost thus making it a profitable venture. They supplied drugs in clubs and parties, to the young and old, and to the rich and poor. Their mighty had enabled them to establish dominance and monopoly in the market. They kicked every competitor out of business.
The epitome of the gang came when they decided to go huge at once by organizing a heist. They had the resources, the ammunition, the manpower, and strategic leadership. They had the training, the skills and the experience. They knew how to avoid being caught using advanced technology. They had engineers and technicians, ex-military and civilians, guns and grenades coupled with dopamine from drugs. They turned a mission impossible into a mission possible. The mission was to rob the largest bank in the country for a one time huge fortune that would change their lives completely.
The mission was planned and scheduled to take place on the eleventh day of September. Spies were deployed to the destination to consider the situation. Their actuaries conducted the initial risk analysis. The ex-militia looked into the possibilities of combat and the estimated collateral damage. The technicians analyzed the banks systems and the CCTV cameras to figure their weaknesses for hacking. Their experience was unfathomed and their commitment vast. Their discipline was incomparable and their loyalty to the gang unquestionable. Their lives were shaped by it and they were willing to die for the gang. They had forgotten their biological families and sworn allegiance to protect their union with blood. It was cultic.
The D-day finally arrived and its dawn cracked just like a normal day. The sun rose from the east and its morning rays lit the city. The bird sang celebrating the gift of a new day and people started moving around in their daily business. In a certain hotel in the city, the gang was getting ready for their mission that would take the country by surprise and shake the world. It would be huge enough to get into the Guinness book of record. Josh and his two friends were giving final briefing to their squad. Their cars were fueled and the chopper was on standby. The pilot was still asleep having flown the chopper from a neighboring country that fine morning. The heist was due in two hours. Mid-morning was unanimously agreed as the best time to embark on the heist after considering several factors such as the police response to a 9-1-1 call in case it occurred. However, in the plan, the police would not be notified until way after the gang had flown out of the crime scene. They had rehearsed the scenarios several times using various simulations, thanks to their resources and experienced technicians. As far as they were concerned nothing would go out of the plan. To them, it was a done deal and nothing would come in between them and their plan. Soon they would become the breaking news in the country, their names would be all over the books of all the law enforcement agencies from the FBI, to the Homeland Security, to the Interpol. They would be infamous, and if all does not go well, that day would mark the end of the lives of some of them while for some they would end up in different jails. It was a game of chance, a risk they were willing to take. From this day on if all goes well, their lives would change for the better and they would fly to unknown destinations where they would spend the rest of their lives in low profiles but as wealthy as their corrupt politicians.
The dark blue armored Hummer was waiting in the car park with its engine roaring. A tall muscular man was seated behind the wheel. He was wearing dark shades, black clothes and a bullet proof vest. From his appearance he seemed younger than his 35 years of age. He was an ex-militia and among the best fighters in the squad. He used to serve as the driver of the army armored vehicles when he was serving in Iran. He decided to quit the army after he returned home and found that his fiancée had moved on with a new suitor. His mother had died of cancer after she could not afford proper medical care while his father had been deported back to his country after being found guilty of possessing illegal firearms. Life had lost meaning for him and he decided to quit the army. It was at this time that he met Josh and his two friends. The gang was all that he had and it had brought meaning to his life once again.
It was a short drive to the bank premises in the CBD of Zintem City. The guards at the gate were members of the gang after they had swapped the real guards the night before. They had hacked into the military and replaced the guards on duty with their own men. Therefore, according to the security of the bank, the new guards were there legally. It was a well-planned mission. The drive brought the car to a halt at the underground garage and the four gentlemen headed to the bank. They all had bullet proof vests inside their black suits. They were prepared for the worse but expected the best.
