The structure of Proposal should as follow:

1. Summary (should including introduction, questions to address, and how to address them, expedition of results after finished this proposal)

2. Main body:

1) introduction: i) should describe and give enough information about why study in water loss is important to plant and human, ii) what are the important roles of oligo peptides in planta, and what do we know so far about the relationship between peptides and water loss? iii) PTRs is the major oligo-peptide transporters in plants, and they also can transport phytohormones, iv) what is unkown so far and what is the specific question you want to address and v) how do you plan to address them with experiments?

Our preliminary data:

1) Oliog peptide treated plants will triggered stromata closed compared with 1/2 MS medium, 2) photosynthesis activity is higher in the plants, which treated with oligo peptide, 3) Water loss is less in the plant who treated with oligo-peptide. PTR mutants shown hypersensitivitive or resistant phenotypes to water loss stress condition.

Regarding to our preliminary data, we will try to address that why oligo peptide can help plant overcome water loss, by what kinds of molecule mechanisms in plant? How does PTR transporters involved in this pathway? And what are the key regulators to regulate PTR to prevent from water loss.

The plan in this proposal is 1) test different oligo peptides and various concentrations of peptides for the specificity and affinity in water loss 2) to identified the key regulators by phenotype screening from mutant lines. 3) analysis of water and oilogo-peptide as well as ABA content in wild type and mutants. 4) will perform protein-protein interaction assays via in vivo and in vitro such as, Yeast-two hybrid, BiFC, in vitro functional assay in oocytes.
