The specific problem to be discussed in this formulated research question includes an increased rate of crime, especially regarding Human Trafficking. The resolution has come to recognize that even after taking some sustainable measures into account, Human Trafficking has tended to remain among the gravest challenges that face the international community. Further, it is a problem which has impaired human rights of enjoyment, and it requires a more concrete and comprehensive response from the international community.
The problem can be evident on several occasions where people have been kidnapping other individuals with the aim of trafficking them. For instance, in recent years there have been reports that Boko Haram had abducted about two hundred and seventy girls who most of them were at approximately sixteen years of age to eighteen. Besides, there have also cases whereby Daesh has been claimed responsibly for the attacks and killings in Sinjar. Here, about three thousand women inclusive of their children were believed to have been engaged in the activities of Human Trafficking.
One of the most significant causes of Human Trafficking to increase is poverty. A vast majority of trafficking victims are believed to be engaged in the world of trafficking as a result of the need to run from their poverty countries (Neal, 2014). In the process of finding jobs in other countries, they are trapped and sold as slaves to developed countries. Other causes that may cause Human Trafficking include wars, social and cultural practices, and political instabilities.
Human Trafficking is primarily a crime of grabbing opportunities though; there are certain conditions that aid in flourishing traffickers in the offence. It is considered as among the most fast growing crime worldwide indicating that it is an issue that needs to be addressed right way. Government from various countries particularly those in developing countries should ensure they have robust measures that can be used to prevent the problem’s impact.
The question for the research is what measures have the government from various countries taken to tackle the issue of Human Trafficking. The problem does relate to the identified question since they both are in concern of Human Trafficking.
The research question is feasible because it is a question that can easily be researched on with answers readily available. In essence, forensic psychology involves the intersection between the justice system and psychology. As such, the research based on the research question will entail broad basic legal principles in regards to testimonies that can be made available by the expert witness hence adding knowledge in the field of forensic psychology.
