Describe what you feel will be one or two key economic and social issues to be debated at the 2016 Presidential elections in the United States - based on your work in this class. What direction do you feel should be taken in the country in order to solve the specific problems mentioned?

Purpose:

My main aim of this paper is to ensure that my audience would comprehend some social and economic issues at the 2016 Presidential elections in the United States.

Specific Purpose:

Precisely, my paper ought to bring out the different reasons, studies and research as to the diverse opinions regarding these issues.

Thesis

As far as I am concerned, with the press forcing politicians to express a host of issues through their ideas, it is significant for them to establish their position on day one regarding diverse economic and social issues. A position which can stand the test of time and the media storm.

Introduction

The previous presidential elections in the United States were scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 8th November 2016 where the 58th president of the States was being selected by the voters. These elections were meant to decide the successor of Barack Obama in White House. Hillary Clinton, on 26th June 2016 was nominated to spearhead as the presidential nominee of Democratic while Donald Trump was selected the presidential candidate for the Republicans Party on 19th June.

Body

One social issue to be debated on has been:

Immigration

As far as I am concerned, immigration has kept on being a social concern which gets debated over and over even during the last elections in the United States. It is correct that very many individuals follow every year the right procedures during their immigration to the United States. It is my belief that the laws of immigration get undertaken for a particular reason hence there ought to be no any amnesty accorded concerning the people who choose not to adhere by these rules of law (Payan, 2016).

One economic issue is:

Inflation

The rate of inflation in the Unites States has been augmenting over the years. Inflation is a term that gets used to describe an overall increase in the prices of services and goods over a certain period in an economy. However, with the growth in real GDP, companies take on more personnel thus leading to reduced unemployment rates. This means that with a faster growth in the economy for a short-term, we experience lower rates of employment and higher rates of inflation. Therefore, it is safe to say that higher rates of inflation lead to lower rates of unemployment and vice versa (Wu, Jing and Fan, 2016).

Conclusion

By the regulation of immigration and enforcement of las that have already been set in place, the system is somewhat fair as it allows for an individual to legally migrate to the United States. In addition, due to the economic issues, an increase in output results in case an economy experiences arise in aggregate demand.
