A thesis statement is a sentence or two that summarizes the main point or claim of a research paper. It is developed, supported, and explained in the text by means of examples and evidence.
Think of a thesis statement as an answer to a research question.
Once you have answered the question with yes or no reflect on why you feel this way. So think of your question, decide your answer and what point you will need to make in order to support or explain that position.
Your task is to figure out what your prompt is by asking and then answer it within your paper in the form of a thesis.
