In modern times people do not identify with their tribes as much as they did in the past. They have grown up in a more open setting where they interact with people from different backgrounds. Thus, the influence of the tribe has been sidelined by modern day experience and interactions. I come from the Mehika tribe which is a derivative of the grater Aztec tribe from South America. Despite living in an urban setting the influence of this tribe is still very visible in my life. The case is the same for most people living in modern day society. They may just be afraid to acknowledge this fact or have never paid much attention to it. Elements of the Mehika tribe are still visible in modern times such as cultural practices and contributions to art and architecture as well as formal writing. Tribes are still a major part of modern day society and their influence will continue to impact the society for the rest of the foreseeable future.
