SMART Objectives and KPIs
These are the sample businesses/clients you may use for this assignment. You may also use a real local business if you choose. You will use the same client/business for all of your assignments this semester, so choose something you can live with. By the end of the semester, you will have a social media strategy outlined for this business that you can put in your portfolio.
Sample Businesses for Social Media and Strategic Branding

2. Logistics Company (create a name)
3. Bank of Miami
4. Little Bright Stars Daycare & Childcare
Note: I will assign a demographic area for these businesses next week.
Assignment
Take one of the sample businesses (or chose and carefully define a local business) and develop two objectives. One must be a communication objective, one must be a business objective. These objectives must be SMART.
You may use the template from the module, but it is not required if you are confident you are writing a SMART objective. If you use the template, attach it with a word document that includes the two objectives and one KPI per objective. Note that your objective must be written in one sentence and contain all the elements of SMART; if you use the template make sure you do not write 5 goals. If you want to see an example - look back in the PowerPoint lecture for the module , or even better the goals vs objectives reading. Your KPIs must link to your objective, and they must include social media-related metrics.
