The Republic of North Korea is a state that is being led by President Kim Jon Un. The state’s official language is Korean, and it has it's Capital named Pyongyang. The state’s religion is the State atheist. The leadership is totalitarian, which is different from democratic states. It is a one-party state that does not allow multipartyism or even different opinions. North Korea is located geographically in eastern Asia, where it borders South Korea ("Map of North Korea," 2019). The state’s population around 24 million people and a population density of 212Sqkm. The state has its neighbors like China, Russia, and South Korea in the south. The Republic of North Korea is characterized by valleys and mountains and an average elevation of 1000metres above the sea level in the northeast. The tallest mountain in the country is the Paektu which stands at 2750 meters. It has extinct volcanoes and crater lakes.

Demographically, it is true to say that North Korea is densely populated with an estimate of around 24 million people as per the 2008 census. The population distribution stands at 212 persons per square kilometer. The people of the country are mostly homogenous, especially in the Korean peninsula. The country is dominated by the Koreans, and the other significant population is the Chinese.BY the year 1999, the Chinese population accounted for fir 0.2% while the Koreans accounted for 99.8% of the population ("Map of North Korea," 2019). The country’s demographic growth rate stands at 0.84%. The country experiences higher rates of birth ab s there is recorded information that claims to stand at 14.51 per 1000 people in the population of North Korea. The death rate stand s at 9.18 per 1000 people which is quite alarming. The expected life of the North Koreans stands at 69.81 years, according to the 2014 demographic data. According to the census and other statistics taken in North Korea, the Females are expected to live longer compared to the males. The females' life expectancy stands at 73.86 years compared to the males who have a shorter life expectancy of 65.96 years. The country’s fertility rate stands at 1.98 per female, and the infant's mortality rate stands at 24.5 deaths per 100 live births as per 2014 ("Map of North Korea," 2019). The demographic structure of the state of North Korea is that majority of the population stands between 15 years and 64years where they account for about 69 % of the entire population. Children aged between 0- 14 years constitute 23% of the population. Adults above 64 years account for 9%. The net rate of migration is at negative 0.04 per 1000 heads.

The country’s economy is centrally planned with limited market allocation schemes. Recently, the country has been continuing to adhere to the centralized command economy. In 2016, the country recorded a GDP of $ 28.5 billion. A gross domestic product per capita stands at $1300.the country globally is ranked among the low-income economy (Gao,2019). North Korea’s economy relies on the exportation of metallurgical products, minerals, ornament, textile, fish, and other agricultural produce. The country is also a major exporter in items ranging from cooking oil, petroleum, and machinery. Most of the data on matters regarding the economy cannot be traced since the country is highly secretive. Still, just like other socialist countries, its economy is controlled by the governments and not the demand and the supply and the forces in the market.

Basically, the people of North Korea are characterized by traditional Korean culture, but there have been changes which have been taking place from the year 1948 (Hong,2020). As per the Juche ideologies, the Koreans culture has been described as unique and has a lot of creativity and innovations which is being encouraged the culture puts more emphasis on the powers of the productive masses(Hong,2020). The culture embraces hard work ad a lot if creativity ad innovations despite being a socialism culture.

The identity of the North Korean people has been tarnished by the ruthless totalitarian government of Kim Jon Un. The people of North Korea don't express themselves freely for fear of executions ad intimidations (Hong,2020). The free will if the economy is also suppressive since it is centrally controlled by the governments. The identity of the North Koreans can be described as homogenous since it constitutes of the larger portion Koreans and the Chinese, which is negligible.

The structure of the North Korean government consists of three arms, which are the judicial, administrative and legislative. The three arms of the government are not independent, and they are controlled by the president. Currently, president Kim Jon Un is the supreme leader, and all decision made I the government are controlled by him (Macdonald, 2018). The country is led by dynasties of the Kim family with absolute and unquestionable authority. The leadership is suppressive and patronages that make the system supported by the military and the elite. There are reshuffles bt=yu the president on matters of military structure and building upon missiles and nuclear hence colliding with many states.

The North Korea state differs from France in many ways. The French government is democratic where elections are held and the president elected. Their economy of the frame is capitalism, where trade is controlled by the forces if the market and nit the government. The people of France are free to express themselves and even criticize the government (Faure & Négrier, 2018). Human rights are considered the basics in the leadership, and there is freedom of choice and the freedom of the press, which makes it different from the concepts adopted by the North Korean government which is dictatorial.
