{This is where you provide a description of the assumptions, algorithms and theories employed to acquire the necessary information and skills to carry out the project. It is essential that you demonstrate that your work has been based on a full and up-to-date understanding of relevant knowledge, properly cited in the recognized academic manner. Section 2.3 provided to the reader what is already known in terms of prior research and how this research supports your research.
Section 2.4 is where you present your own theory as to how the problem could be solved, as a base for your project. For example, A dissertation that involves the development of a framework could be based upon existing standards (such as projects involving implementations of cloud-based solutions). You have made use a theoretical basis to develop: a new process or project management tool, an algorithm or a new computer application. As you describe the theory refer to your problem and the project aims and objectives in mind.
In Chapter 2, you may need to expand upon the subsections, depending on the type of project you completed. Keep in mind that everything written in Chapter 2 is intended to support the need for the research, your strategy and approach to developing your academic research. You may include information about your research methodology if it supports a particular approach you are taking to the theory, but most likely, the actual research methods will be further detailed in Chapter 3. Here is some example text just to illustrate how theory would be presented through the use of sources.}
