Also note that 95% of digestion takes place in the SMALL INTESTINE. Digestion of food takes place before it enters the mouth- it begins with stimulation of the senses- sight, smell and taste. Digestion is aided by cooking food, and saliva as we begin to chew. It's AMAZING!!!!!!
