Term Assignment Two: Food Safety and Sanitation Audit Report

Learning Objective
The student(s) will research and prepare a food service safety and sanitation audit report
using the provided template. The safety audit template will be completed using the Public
Health Audit Halton Restaurant as provided in the course shell. Through research and
independent study, the student(s) will better understand the foodservice industry policies
and procedures for personal hygiene and sanitation measures as stipulated by the Public
Health Code and foodservice organizations. By researching and preparing a food service
safety and sanitation audit report, the student will gain the necessary skills used in the
food service industry. Besides, the student(s) will apply essential managerial skills and
facilitate food safety decision-making and policies as required by Public Health
regulations on a local, provincial, and national level.
Guidelines for Food Safety and Sanitation Audit Report
1. The food service safety and the sanitation audit report must be created using the template provided in the eCentennial course shell.
2. Identify three food safety practices the Halton Restaurant failed at, accompanied by a recommendation on improving the safety practice for each
of the three observations.
3. The content conveyed in the food service safety, and the sanitation audit report must be relevant and address the Public Health code and regulations.
4. The food service safety and sanitation audit is to be submitted electronically using word processing software.
Due Date of Assignment:
1. The proposal is due in Week Nine. The assignment will be submitted on the day of the scheduled class on Week Nine by 11:59 pm.
2. The audit or portion of it may be submitted in advance for review and feedback by the instructor without penalty or grade consideration.
3. The audit will be submitted to eCentennial in the assessment tab. Submitted to the folder Term Assignment Two – Food Safety and Sanitation Audit Report
4. The students' printed full names (first and last) and their student ID# must be on the assignment to receive a grade.
Note: Late submissions will be subject to school grading and evaluation policy. Late
submissions will be penalized 10% per workweek. Failure by the student to abide by
Academic Integrity and Honest Policies will result in a zero grade.
