Running head: CASE STUDY 1
CASE STUDY 3
Observation from the case study indicates a disorganized distribution of classes. Classes with less than twenty students have the highest percentage class allocation as compared to classes with more students. This calls for an alignment if the college has to meet its goal of academic quality. Classes with more students should be increased to create a good learning environment and promote motivation for the students. Manageable classes with the required number of students will be a boost in student performance and the school at large. Moreover, the college should consider focusing on programs with standard number of students and eliminate programs with few students. It is also advisable to evaluate whether the programs are useful and beneficial to society before eliminating them. This way more learning on the programs that are much needed in the society and those that best serve the needs of the society will improve.
The number of enrollment students in BA mathematics has been reducing over the years from 2011 to 2015. This does not reflect the goals of Jamestown school of arts of increased enrollments of students from key markets. According to the BA mathematics feedback, the program is low rated, and there is need to increase the grade attainment. This is because the percentage of students attaining high grades is wanting and requires immediate attention. Therefore Jamestown College should consider increasing its quality to attract more students to the program. As a result, this Jamestown College can achieve its mission and vision of academic excellence (McDavid et al., 2018).
