Summary of Results - Clark Healthy Workplace Inventory |
To come up with a better evaluation of the civility and healthy that exists within the workplace environment, there was a need to make use of the Clark healthy workplace inventory. The other thing is to create a better and careful selection response that reflects a psychiatric hospital. In this case, I was able to obtain the healthcare’s workplace inventory that had been used by the group and individual in the organization as part of the evidence that is used to raise awareness and also help assess the healthcare in the organization. Another critical thing is to determine some of the possible areas that need improvement as well as reinforce and celebrate the strengths of the critical areas. Therefore, the inventory assessment will look at the personal account of my ability to look at the workplace civility and also use some of these tools to gain a better understanding of the key area that may make the program within the psychiatric hospital not to become a success. I will also look at how some of these key areas will be changed throughout the program and implemented (Clark, 2015).

Some of the two surprising things about the assessment and inventory results that I obtained is the level of incivility that was with the program and lack of ability to relate well in the workplace set up. Another belief that was depicted in the Assessment is the fact that there was a negative impact of the coworkers as they interacted in the working environment and also including the patients. After the Assessment was complete, I came to the conclusion that the moral of the organization was depleted. After working for years in the organization, I have been noting low levels of motivation among the coworkers.

What do the results of the Assessment suggest about the health and civility of your workplace? |
Incivility can be termed as the behavior where there is a low intensity, which contributes to some of the factors such as violating and having impolite working norms, including employees being rude. In this case, incivility can also be termed as rumors or note accepting that the works can also need assistance while working. The situation is meant to happen among any members of the organization, and on most occasions, it goes unaddressed and unnoticed (Nickitas, 2014).

The articles presented in the modules help to come up with different techniques that will help address and reduce incivility and make a work environment a better place. The one fundamental theory that I find more appealing in this case is the cognitive rehearsal. It is termed as the evidence where an individual working in a particular field can raise concerns regarding a stressful situation, or an environment they think is not that appealing to them. Here it is difficult to address challenges that arise in the organization where the senior staff is required to address such issues. The senior can come up with a mock test that will help bring about better feedback that will increase the levels of communication in the workplace. The company here commenced handling various patients' concerns through the company meetings that have been taking place. The members started practicing some of the difficulties experienced by the patients and how they can handle challenging situations. The practices, in this case, have allowed us to improve on how we treat this patient. I strongly believe that the organization is working towards improving some of the discomforts among the employees.

In order to improve healthcare within the organization, I believe that the organization can come up with better programs that will help make use of the cognitive rehearsals and enhance teamwork. They are the key things that need to be implemented. The other thing is for the organization to hold meetings where the staff will be requested to join each time. The conference will incorporate cognitive rehearsal to help address incivility in the workplace and what needs to be done in the future (Clark, Sattler & Barbosa-Leiker, 2016). The other thing is to use the DESC model where the teams will be urged to make use of communication hence strengthening the coworkers. The model also has the key elements that address uncivil issues in the organization.

In this case, the first thing in improving civility among the team is to make use of the existing programs. The other thing is to ensure that there are current strategies that will support this. The members will be able to follow the set of strategies and programs. The organization, therefore, need to ensure that collective achievement is put in place to help promote collaboration and teamwork that will strengthen workplace practices.
