Abstract

The paper abstract is a one-paragraph concise summary (approximately 150-200 words) of your entire paper. The abstract is not indented.

Title of Paper

The content of the paper assignment should be in proper APA style, including 12-point, Times New Roman font, double-spacing and one-inch margins throughout. Notice that the title page, abstract, body of the paper, and references begin on separate pages. Likewise, the title page, abstract, and reference page do not count towards the total required number of pages for the assignment. The insert page function is under Page Layout tab on Word.

You may use this document and the references below as a model to craft your own assignment and reference section. The APA manual, as well as Purdue’s Owl website (https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/) will be important resources as you practice proper APA style. This template is formatted in accordance with APA style and includes five example references in the reference section as well.

The reference page is organized alphabetically by the first author’s last name. Notice that the first line of each reference is flush with the left margin and each subsequent line of the reference is indented one inch. This is called a hanging indent, this is on the Home tab under paragraph on word. The first reference (Kabat-Zinn, J., 2012) is an article from a book. The second reference (Nosich, G. M. (2012) is a second book. The third reference is from a web site but you do not list the URL in the body of the paper. (Occupational Outlook Handbook,2017) The fourth reference is the literacy (Park University Integrative Literacy, 2017).
