The min cases study ModMeters leadership discusses the critical measure of improving the current business situation by enhancing technological infrastructure. This act supports new directions and actions in efforts to attain sustainable goals and objectives that have been laid out. The companies CIO Brian smith states that IT values and emerging trends in different working environments are very critical in enhancing quality and service. ModMeters cases prove that the firm did not emphasize more on IT infrastructure. ModMeters gave high allocations of funds to ROI, and this took a significant portion of the IT budget. The business suffered from insufficient distribution in some departments, which in return, reduced scope in the market. Strategic development should be a two-process between business and the IT infrastructure that it has taken.
Nevertheless, ModMeters concentrated more on equipping RIO with more resources in the budget share. In response to this, drastic measures were put in place to ensure business operations were not profoundly affected. The professional process was, therefore, introduced to maintain a consistent flow of services. It was very critical taking that action since customer taste, and preference should always be maintained (Garg, 2018).
The nature of business relations should, and IT infrastructure should make reflection current performance and future forecasts. Attaining sustainable operations and winning customer scope required integration of current technology. For instance, the use of the punch line and the old system of authorization and authentication should have been eliminating a long time ago. The business world is making a drastic move to advanced measures of recognition. Globalization is encouraging the use of passwords, pins, and face recognition alongside other approaches that can be applied in a common transformation ground. In this case, poor budgeting was a limiting factor. The manager who was giving high allocations to RIO; this delayed the process of changing and making consistent growth of the firm. Even distribution of budget would have a significant way of developing employee's characters and organizational culture, which is a thread of attaining the common objective. The book provides a way to show cause that ModMeter did not put an accent in the natural state, and this ease the factor that there was a delay in adopting new technology in the business (McKeen & Smith, 2014).
Nevertheless, the management made drastic measures of improving the IT infrastructure in quick succession. Changing the perception of the team was the first implementation that was taken by the administration. Some attitudes towards change seemed to be unsophisticated because they were upset and not ready for change. The setting was targeted performance appraisal as a practical design of encouraging teamwork and focusing more on the delivery road map. In this case, a sense of self-responsibility and the nature of achieving was given priority in the organization. Improving proficiency at ModMeters was an easy way as long as all elements of the organizations continue to work together to improve their IT infrastructure. Creating an IT planning process for ModMeters would play a significant role in responding to demand as they were outlined in the case study.
